Peta’s journey with Rebels Netball Club is truly a testament to her dedication and passion for the sport. Peta has been associated with Rebels Netball Club since the club was formed in 1982. She was in the first team of Rebels and additionally represented Noranda Netball Association as a player within the Association Netball Carnivals. Peta was the first club player to reach the 300 game milestone, playing a total of 335 games before retiring. Due to her significant milestone, she was awarded life membership with the club. Peta became Treasurer for Rebels Netball Club before taking time off in 1997 for the arrival of her first daughter. She returned to the club in 2004 when her daughter joined as a player and went on to coach in 2011. In 2016, Peta was awarded the Janelle Clarke award for her service to the club and in 2022 re-joined the Executive Committee as President. As head coach for 2024, Peta supports and mentors all players, coaches and umpires within the club and strives to create a family friendly environment for all.

Treasurer
Karen Kenny
Karen has been associated with Rebels Netball Club since 2017 when her daughter Alicia began playing netball. Karen became Treasurer and Uniform Officer in 2019 for the Rebels Executive Committee and still holds both positions in 2024. She began coaching Net Set Go (NSG) in 2021 and in 2022 was elected to coordinate the Rebels NSG program. Additionally, Karen has been selected by Noranda to coordinate the Noranda Association NSG Program for the 2024 season. As a result of her commitment and dedication to the club, Karen was awarded the Janelle Clarke Award in 2022. Karen has a positive energy which can be felt throughout the whole club and endeavours to create a fun and enjoyable experience for all players as they develop their netball skills. She can often be seen on Friday evenings and Saturdays’ supporting all teams and loves a good chat with the parents. Karen strives in making Rebels Netball Club a family friendly environment where everyone feels safe and enjoys netball.

Ashleigh Silvestro
Ashleigh began her time at Rebels Netball Club in 2009 at the age of 8. She has since progressed her way through the club as a player, coach, umpire and now executive committee member. As a player, Ashleigh has represented Rebels Netball Club, Noranda Netball Association and Darling Range Netball Region. Ashleigh’s Mum, Peta was part of the first team of Rebels and her Grandmother volunteered throughout the club during this time. Ashleigh is joining the Executive Committee in 2024 to promote a family friendly netball club which encourages skill development within all players. Selected as Team 1’s captain for 2024, Ashleigh has a goal of creating a positive and fun environment which encompasses the values of the club.
